Belief is not a superstition...

Belief is not a superstition or a religious faith. It is what you think and believe with conviction but has room for doubt.

Your beliefs make what you are, and you may be a better or worse person, and you may succeed or fail in life, because of your beliefs.

Positive beliefs- – having a strong belief in yourself, good values and habits- – enlighten and empower your character.

Positive beliefs are a source of vision, confidence, determination and courage. If you strongly believe in your will and ability to succeed, you are likely to achieve success in life.

Negative beliefs- – lacking a strong belief in yourself, being ruled by bad values and habits- – pollute and worsen your character.

Negative beliefs are a source of shortsightedness, irresponsibility, irresoluteness and timidity. If you do not believe that you can create and control your future, you are unlikely to win in life.

Great men and successful people are products of their positive beliefs, good values and habits, and steadfast characters.

Wicked people and criminals are victims of their negative beliefs, bad values and habits, and defective characters.

The mind and heart believe what they want to believe, including religious and political beliefs, but they cannot escape the consequences of their beliefs.

Not all beliefs, secular or religious, are noble and true. Some beliefs are hijackers of reason, rationality, intelligence and logic, others are products of dogmatism, prejudices, biases or preference.

People often believe in something they do not know or understand, and are capable of believing in something imaginative, incomprehensive and inconceivable- – under the influence of religion.

People usually tend to cling to their beliefs until the price for believing them becomes too high, or until after they are victimized by their beliefs.

Many people change their beliefs as a result of their personal experiences, or social and cultural influences.

Some people are quick to change their beliefs which they think no longer serve them.

People often hypocritically profess their beliefs for personal interests, and many always do things that are inconsistent with their beliefs.

Beliefs have the power to change everyone’s life, but what people believe is not nearly as important as how they behave and live in life.

The best belief is living a life according to your positive beliefs, good values and habits, and the conscientious and ethical feelings of your heart.
