You were the key to my heart
you were the ray of light in the dark
you were everything I needed in life.

It was easy loving you
But it’s hard forgetting you
I don’t remember feeling this empty
Don’t remember you being so angry

I thought we were always going to be together
Thought we were meant to be forever
My heart has been locked once again
Locked into a box just like back then

I couldn’t breathe without you
Couldn’t move without you
Couldn’t see without you
Couldn’t fall asleep without dreaming of you

But it’s time for me to move on
I will no longer be your pawn
Because our love has died,

  I know what you are going through. I fell in love with this guy and I felt something different with him then I did with any other guy. It was up and down, side to side. Then one day I give him a poem and I have not talk to him then. But I do ask myself if that was the right this to do. I hope this helps you.

  I can relate to this poem as well. I wrote a song for a girl I really liked and she and I didn’t talk for weeks..almost a month I believe…and now I wrote another one for a different girl..we dated and she broke up with me…life is always some shade of gray isn’t it?
