Family Poems, Poetry
She stood there in the pouring rain
Until she thought she might go insane
Then she laid down to cry
A runaway *sigh*
Yet she wanted this needed this
But everything had gone amiss
She left without food
and money too
But how could she face her dad
When he made her so mad
She knew she would it
That girl wouldn’t sit
She got up confidence returned
The fear was adjourned
She ran like she never had before
Until she thought she might soar
She looked at HER lawn, It was already mowed
She went to the door remembering the code
Her mother was asleep on the couch
The girl went to her, quiet as a mouse
Her mom awoke seeing her own kin
The girl & mom saw each other once again
The very happy mom called to the girls dad
The young lass terrified and sad
Steps on the stairs coming down
Down until the feet hit the ground
He stopped his heart becoming whole
Then he said “no on knew where you were not even a soul”
The girl cried out “don’t be angry at me”
“I was only making a life on my own don’t you see”
“I only wanted you to be proud”
She said very, very loud
After a long while
the dad forgave the child
And lived the same life once more
The child walked in and out of that same old runaway door ?

I am a child.
I am all the things of my past
I am the skin on my mother,
The flesh of my father,
The bones of my sister.
I am all I see.
Pink and soft little babies
Golden crunchy autumn leaves
The magnificent colours of the rainbow
Stars that winks at me from heavens above.
I am all I hear.
“Hurry up.. we’re late”
Birds singing from soaring trees
The moaning and weeping of the winds.
I am all i feel and taste.
I am the warmth of the sun,
Shinning against my skin
I am the breeze of the wind,
Cool and fresh letting me breathe
I am the sweetness of cadbury,
Melting in my hands.
I am all I remember.
Jumping on my bed
And conquering the world
Fighting my way through the jungle
Like Steve Irwin once did.
I am all I’ve been taught.
“Wash your hands before you eat”
“Better sade than sorry”
I am all I think
Easy to recall
But hard to wipe away
I am all those things
They keep me alive;
Make the person I am today.
I am like an author,
And i write it all down
Including my wish that
When I grow up
I’m goin to be happy.

Family is bonded together as one,
through thick and thin, through rain and sun.
Family is the same like Aunt Betty’s nose,
Mom’s crooked finger, Grandpa’s toes.
Family is strong like an army of force,
and it sticks together no matter the course.
Family is hearty,
Family is one,
And it’s stuck together come rain or sun.

Where is there anything so precious?
I have looked everywhere.
On land and in the sea
In the sky and underground
Diamonds, rubies, and emeralds
Crystals, topaz, and quartz
No matter how beautiful they can’t
Compare to the memories of family
Mother, Father, Aunt, Uncle
Brother, Sister, Cousin
All members of a thing called Family

What’s Family love?
Well love is what brought you here.
Love is what keeps you here.
And love is a lesson you’ll learn so listen closely.
Love can nice and it can be wicked
Only if you share it with the wrong person
and love is what will keep your family together when you get older.

You’ve been there for me
I’ve been here for you,
All the good and the bad times
That we have been through.
You welcomed me in
With arms opened wide,
Gave me a home to stay
When I was having a hard time.
When I have things on my mind
You’re the person I turn to,
‘Cause I know you will listen
And advise me what to do.
Whenever I am down
You notice straight away,
And can tell something’s up
Without me having to say.
Without you I’d be lost
Don’t know where I would be,
Because Donna you are more
Than just a cousin to me.
You’re a very close friend
To whom I can confide,
A sister I can come to
When I need some advice.
But most strongly of all
To me you’re like a mum,
Without you I don’t know
What I would have done.
There was a part of me
I tried so hard to find,
The part you brought back
Without having to try.
By allowing me
To just be who I am,
And not trying to control me
Like some others have.
My confidence has grown
Back to what it used to be,
Thanks to everything
That you’ve done for me.
And for this I will always
Be so grateful to you,
It was the one thing I needed
For someone to do.
So writing this poem
Is my way of thanking you,
And to show you how much
That I love you.

Watching you breathe,
And hearing your heart beat..
Tears fill up my eyes,
I put my hand next to yours,
You roll over,
And smile with pride..
We glance at each other,
And get lost in each others eyes,
And look in the other direction,
To see a crib where Zoey lies..
Her soft light brown hair,
Pressed against her cheek,
Her little blue eyes sparkling,
And she was ours to keep..
She stood up on her little bitty feet,
Put her hands on the rail of the crib,
You smile and go to pick her up,
But before you could, she made a leap..
She cuddled up in your arms,
With her head lying on your shoulder,
Her little baby hands against yours,
You couldn’t stop holding her..
She slowly drifted asleep,
Holding you close,
You looked at me,
And was happy that it was her we chose..
