So Close

DownUp 0

You’re so close to my heart,
So real in my life.
Yet you’re so far
Far away from me
From my every day

I think of you
And my heart beats faster,
My skin gets “goose bumps”
And my whole body screams your name

You’re so close that
When I think of you…
I think of God’s beauty
Oh! How wonderful is he…
He created you!

He created you for me
To show he’s love through you
To show me how much he cares
He is the connection between you and me
The love shared!

No matter how far
No matter how long
We will always be together
And we’ll share the same heart

The heart of God!

The way you look at me

DownUp -1

Lying next to you…
Close to your heart.
I can hear it beat,
And I know we’ll never be apart.
You say you “Almost” love me,
And I know that’s true.
But I wish I could prove,
How much I love you.
I can’t explain all my feelings, in a poem like this…
But what I can say, is,
Everything we share together should be treasured; cherished…
Even something as little as a kiss.
I hope one day… you will feel the same,
Maybe, come to love me too.
But I want you to know, no matter what,
I have, do, and will forever love you…

Ocean Blue

DownUp 0

You look at me,
I look at you.
All I can see, in your eyes,
Is a colorful sea of blue.
I also see the love, the compassion, the bliss that we share.
I can tell by your gentle touch,
How much you do care.
Yes, there are times where I have my doubts…
But I know, life without you,
Would be like living in a drought.
Dry, bare, nothing to see…
But, if what we share is real;
All we really need in the end,
Is you and me.

Endless Love

DownUp 0

Like the galaxy, that goes and goes, never ending.
Like the trees in the park, that always seems to keep on growing.
Like the sun that comes up every morning, even if we don’t see it, it’s still there… Just hiding.
Like the air we breathe its always there, we take advantage of what is just given to us.
Like our one true love, always with us in our hearts. But gone when needed.
Gone when needed more than the galaxies, the trees, the sun, the air…

Your eyes are lovely, dark, and deep
Like clouds before a rain
To know the secrets that they keep,
To ease your every pain…
To have those eyes look into mine,
Oh, you could never know
There’s not a way I could define,
And nothing that could show
Just how those eyes can burn away
My doubts, my pain, and fear
But clouds roll in, the skies turn gray
When you’re no longer near.
So nervous that you’ll disappear
It happens quite a lot
One minute you are standing here,
And then the next, you’re not.
The empty space where you once stood
Hangs heavy in the air
I close my eyes, perhaps I could
Still see your image there.
There’s so much more to you, I know
Than just what meets the eye
I hear it in your warm hello,
And ache with your goodbye.

3 lil words

DownUp +1

There are three lil words that are hard to say
whenever we’re together the words just float away,
you see i find it difficult to tell you that
its true, this statement is a fact.
i want to tell you so you could know
but i think you see it, because it always show.
your butterfly kisses just make me smile,
and at times i wonder n ask myself why?
why didn’t i say those three lil words…
but now i have the chance to do what I’ve always wanted to do
to say these three lil words are I love you!

Online dating

DownUp +4

Our photos we post
with no intention to boast.

You’re thinking she looks fine,
and I am thinking will he be mine?

I can’t help but wonder,
is he a man vain enough to use Rogaine?
Or will he cause me hurt and pain?

And so we begin to exchange words,
and divulge our biggest dream.
When I meet him will I scream?

His printed words are great and
I can hardly wait for him to make a date.

The words become intense
And I begin to feel the suspense.

I begin to wonder what will I wear,
and will we actually become a pair?

Wouldn’t it be awful if he weren’t really there?

All I am searching for is contentment
and for neither of us to feel disappointment
or resentment.

And so, my final line has come to me.
Could it be that the man on my screen will be part of my destiny?
