Would you come running?

Would you say the same?

If I said I’d do anything for you,
Would you believe me?

If I told you I hated you,
Would you have ran?
If I told you to leave,
Would you have left?
If I pushed you away,
Would you have gone?

If I hadn’t lied to you, just so you could be safe,
Would you still be here with me?

If I called out your name one last time,
Would you still come running?
Or would you turn away from me,
Because I tried to protect you?
