There is a world of difference between racism & prejudice. IE: one can look at a young man with a hoodie on and prejudge that the young man is a thug, that’s prejudice. To judge a man as a thug because of his skin color is racist. I can understand prejudice to a person the way they walk/dress etc (walk like a thug, dress like a thug, chances are, you are a thug), however, to judge a person solely on their skin color is, at best, stupid. And at worst, poisonous. Travel broadens the mind, if you visit different countries, you may find that most of the world’s population are similar in the way they treat strangers. In my experience, it has been with nothing but kindness. In fact, the only real racism I have encountered, has been by fellow white skin people because I’m English and they have been French, and that does not mean I dislike every French person because of it. It just emphasizes my point. There are good people and bad people, that’s life. Color/race/religion/sexual orientation/language don’t come into it.

Props to all the great American comedians like Chris Rock and Carlos Mencia who use humor to help us lower the boundaries between us. It seems to me that the problem is we’re not great at finding socially acceptable ways to acknowledge and appreciate our differences. You know, I think it’s kinda annoying how people always make references to whites as the racist ones. If a white says something regarding color they are racist, if anyone else does they are just proud of who they are. Racism is racism, no matter what. There are people who hate whites for no reason at all and I get one of the most stupid stereotypes – I’m stupid because of my hair color. Doesn’t make any sense I’m an incredible level of stupid for no apparent reason cause my hair is blond. Stupid stuff right there. But anyways if you think whites never suffered in America then you need to read up on your history a little more.
