As I read some of these quotes and comments, I am thinking to myself, how ungrateful nation we have become. This country offers hope to millions around the world, provides help to the needy, medicine to the sick in every corner of the globe and when the tsunami hits Americans dig to their pockets and give more money than the rest of the world combined. Yet some of us who live comfortably in US, our children have the opportunity to go the best schools, colleges and universities with all sorts of grants and scholarships with a chance to be whatever they want to be, have the nerve to denigrate this nation. For those pessimists who enjoy living in America, if you think other countries have no problems, think again? If you think you got it bad, go to Syria, if you think you are getting poor, go to Somalia, if you think you are not free, go North Korea then you really understand the meaning of wealth, health and freedom. I chose America on her bad day over the best day of any other country on earth.

Most of the men in my family have served in this nations military, so I have a naturally strong pride in my country, so please excuse me when I say this if it does not apply to you:
If you hate living in this country so much, then why the heck don’t you get out of it?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? >:(
I know there might not be people that hate living in this country on this website, but I’ve seen nasty comments on YouTube after watching videos about the military and I can’t say anything because I don’t have an account and am not allowed to have one, and I really wanted to get my opinion out there.

And when I speak, I don’t speak as a Democrat. Or a Republican. Nor an American. I speak as a victim of America’s so-called democracy. You and I have never seen democracy – all we’ve seen is hypocrisy. When we open our eyes today and look around America, we see America not through the eyes of someone who has enjoyed the fruits of Americanism. We see America through the eyes of someone who has been the victim of Americanism. We don’t see any American dream. We’ve experienced only the American nightmare.
– Malcolm X
