If you base your love on something that is temporary; you and them, love is guaranteed to fail. If you love God first; the eternal and everlasting, only then can you really know what loving yourself or another really is. All other love; however beautiful, is futile and like many songs are written about – will end.
If you don’t believe me, don’t deny me. I dare you if you want to know what love is, test what I say. Find out first the magnitude of Jesus’s love for you; the first true love, the love of sacrifice and suffering he experienced for you. Once you know this love then you can know what true love is for another. No human being or thought can even begin to help you see the truth.
