None of us alone can save the nation or world. But each of us can make a positive difference if we commit ourselves to do so.
– Cornel West
It’s naive to think that you aren’t affected by this issue. If you think so, you are probably benefiting from from this systemic oppression. Unknowingly.
In a racist society it is not enough to be non-racist, we must be anti-racist.
– Angela Davis
Racism has a very quick expiration date when exposed to actual contact with people.
– Hasan Minhaj
Racism was never a one race phenomenon.
– Sipho P Nkosi
Everyone of us will bleed when being cut. You are no different than others. Remember we are all humans.
It is wiser to hate the potter instead of the clay cup. After all, the clay cup didn’t made itself. So who are you hating when you hate a race of people? After all, the clay cup didn’t make itself.
Thanks to political correctness, we have gone from recognizing shades of gray (respecting the simultaneous legitimacy of multiple perspectives), past black-or-white (which purports that one position is 100% correct while the other is 100% wrong), to now a single color (which punishes anyone who believes there even is another point of view).
– Alan Robert Neal
I think that most minorities have experienced some form of racial abuse.
Civilization does not dwell in an anti rainbow nation.
During my lifetime I have dedicated myself to this struggle of the African people. I have fought against white domination, and I have fought against black domination. I have cherished the ideal of a democratic and free society in which all persons live together in harmony and with equal opportunities. It is an ideal which I hope to live for and to achieve. But if needs be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die.
– Nelson Mandela
No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.
– Nelson Mandela
No one is born racist.
Judging someone by the color of their skin is ignorant. Their skin complexion has nothing to do with their morals, beliefs or intelligence.
No human race is superior; no religious faith is inferior. All collective judgements are wrong. Only racists make them.
– Elie Wiesel
Racism is something you learn not something you are born with.
I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.
– Martin Luther King Jr.
It doesn’t matter what race you are. In the dark we’re all the same color.
Racism springs from the lie that certain human beings are less than fully human. It’s a self-centered falsehood that corrupts our minds into believing we are right to treat others as we would not want to be treated.
– Alveda King
Everyone’s a racist except the blind.
We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools.
– Martin Luther King Jr.
I’m not trying to be mean but here are somethings that I have found out:
Caucasian talk about is eating fried chicken and kool aid, and I am very sorry to say, they eat the same things.
A lot of people called the black race ugly. If you look now at the African women, they have defined face structure, and very dark skin, just like their ancestors. The most beautiful skin I’ve every seen. Some are models, and they are some of the most beautiful women that I have ever seen. I mean, it comes to the point where a lot of people want to look like them!
Why do they have a Caucasian person running the NAACP?
And why is that when a black man comes into office, cleans everything up for America, and still is under fire for doing the things that he is supposed to do? And Bush, the reason for this mess, was not treated like that?
Just some food for thought. Go ahead, give me as much thumbs down as you want, because I just don’t care anymore.
I just don’t get it. We all have organs, we eat, sing, and dance, but the color of our skin will affect the way people think. Maybe black people should just go to Europe, because the people in Europe adore black people. The Europeans are more accepting to them than Americans.
I hope you know that most of the white singers and dancers from all around the world, I would say at least half of them are inspired by African Americans. Kimbra is a great example. Amy Winehouse. Adele. Tina Marie. Gavin Degraw Ect. Do I have to continue?
Not liking a person for being annoying and just downright ignorant doesn’t make you a bad person, sometimes. Until everyone finds out the person you don’t like is black, then you just suddenly become a complete bigot for hating them. Why must people do this? No one really knows.
As you grow older, you’ll see white men cheat black men every day of your life, but let me tell you something and don’t you forget it – whenever a white man does that to a black man, no matter who he is, how rich he is, or how fine a family he comes from, he is trash.
– Harper Lee
Do you know what we call opinion in the absence of evidence? We call it prejudice.
– Michael Crichton
Judgements prevent us from seeing the good that lies beyond appearances.
– Wayne Dyer
The Christians might say that God was white, but in every movie God is played by Morgan Freeman.
What is it you most dislike? Stupidity, especially in its nastiest forms of racism and superstition.
– Christopher Hitchens
